Wine tastings

In Planina and its surroundings, you’ll find a delightful selection of open wine cellars to explore. We recommend visiting Štokelj, Ferjančič Estate and Guerila which are accessible on foot. If you’re willing to take a short drive, consider visiting charming village of Slap, just 10 minutes away, where you’ll discover several exceptional winemakers. Be sure to check out Pregeljc wines and Žorž winery, while you are there.

ŠTOKELJ

Štokelj estate is a 30-minute walk from us. On the tasting, you can choose between three or eight wine samples, each accompanied by a delightful platter of meats, olives, and cheese. Please note that advance reservations are required at the following number: +386 40 661 106.

GUERILA

The Guerila winery, located just over a kilometer from our property, is renowned for its organic wine production. Their wine tastings include top-quality biodynamic wines and guided tour of the cellar. It is recommended to make a reservation in advance for the tastings. FERJANČIČ ESTATE

At Ferjančič you can enjoy a comprehensive tasting experience that typically includes a guided tasting of several wines paired with local delicacies. They are the closest winery, only 5 minutes away. PREGELJC

Visit the Pregeljc winery, where you will try quality wine and homemade snacks, like cheese, cured meats and other local delicacies. Winery offers 5 samples of wine. When using Google Maps, avoid the shortest route, as it leads to gravel road for pedestrians and cyclists. Instead, choose the one via the highway. ŽORŽ

There is also a winery in the village of Slap called Žorž, where you can continue your wine exploration. At the tasting, you get 6 samples of wine with a large slice full of charcuterie, cheese and vegetables. Reservations are requested on these number: +386 31 861 054.

BENČINA

You will find the Benčina Wine Farm in the small village of Lože, located in the immediate vicinity of the village of Slap. In their cellar you can taste wines of different varieties. There you can see one of the largest and most beautiful wine cellars in Vipava Valley and admire the wine fountain. In 2024, the owner was named winemaker of the year.
