Summers in Vipava Valley offer endless opportunities for adventure. You can spend your days cycling or hiking up nearby plateaus, or you can refresh yourself in one of the nearby rivers. One of them is Vipava river or a beautiful gorge of river Bela, where you can immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the wider river area. If you are a wine lover, you can visit local winemakers with the Winestronaut team and learn about the rich local history in their open cellars.
Summer is also a time for various events where you can get to know the locals, their culture, and their products up close. In June you can attend the traditional Wine Festival ZELEN in the village of Vipavski križ, or visit the center of Nova Gorica, which comes alive with events as part of the Goriško poletje. In July, you can experience cultural events as part of Poletje v Vipavskem križu, and in august, chat with winemakers and taste exquisite local wines at the Vipava Wine festival.
